Beverly Ann Jennings went to be present with the Lord on April, 22,  2024, she was born to Ernest Williams and Lillian Sharpe on March 31, 1952 in Brunswick GA. Known to family and close friends as “Ann” She was raised by her Grandparents in Johnsons corner until their untimely death at the age of twelve, she lived with different aunts until she graduated from Lyons industrial high school in 1970. She moved to Salm Oregon with her Aunt Gussie  Brown “Suge”. That is where she met and married Samuel Townsel .  To  this union they had seven children.

Beverly became a foster parent in 1989 for Aspira FFA, Nepenthean FFA and Approachable FFA in Merced CA, Beverly had a passion for children. Beverly very much desired to be a stay-at-home mom. In order to support her family, coupled with foster parenting, serving over 60 children in her home, in 1990, she established Townsel Daycare in Merced, California. Beverly was affectionately known as “Miss Beverly” throughout Merced County, serving 500-600 children. Townsel Daycare Center was a well-known, large daycare center that was open 24-hours, 7 days a week. Miss Beverly provided loving care, meals, transportation, and encouragement to everyone. She had no respecter of families and provided care to families of all ethnicities with professional jobs to the struggling single mother searching for employment with no means of paying for childcare. Because of her love and passion for children, she turned no families away. Miss Beverly’s commitment to the industry was extraordinary. Miss Beverly retired in 2009 and relocated to Georgia with her family.

Beverly leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Aaron Townsel, Avery (Tamica) Townsel of Merced, CA; Lakeitha Stewart of Las Vegas, NV; Shannon Townsel of Detroit Lakes, MN; Sheri Townsel of Vidalia, GA; Mason Jennings, Aaron Jennings, Adam (Candace) Jennings, Senobia Jennings, Rai Jennings; Natajvia Townsel; Damien Townsel of Vidalia, GA; Gabriel Minjarez, Frankie Minjarez; Selena Minjarez; Simon Minjarez of Modesto CA; and Blia Townsel of Oakland, CA. She also leaves behind extended children including: Anthony Volson of Los Angeles, CA; Mark Volson of Merced, CA; Antoinette Villasenor of Clovis, CA; NiKisha Duncan of Stockton, CA. Beverly leaves twenty-five grandchild and seven great grandchildren. She leaves her siblings:  Aunt/ Sister Tina Sterling-Johnson (Frank) of Vidalia, GA; Eunice Johnson (Harvey) of Atlanta, GA; Michele (Johnny) James, Syvonia (Charles) Frith, George (Robbie) Chance of Vidalia, GA, Edna Lenear and Johnny Robinson of Rochester, NY. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memory to her best friend, sister, confidant Yvonne Connor of Savanah, Georgia Preceded in death by her father Ernest Williams, daughters: Rochelle Townsel, Lauresa Duncan, Sons: Samuel and Jason Townsel, granddaughter: Damonea Hull.

Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2-6 p.m. at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home, 211 W. Liberty Ave., Lyons GA. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Phillip's Temple Church of God In Christ, 214 Wilshire Blvd, Vidalia. Burial will follow in the Eternal Glory Gardens, HWY 297, Vidalia.

The Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mother Beverly Jennings.
