(L-R Front): Kristy Price (mother), Dalton Price, Kenny Price (father), Larry Curl (father), Ledger Curl, Marci Curl (mother), and Hudson Curl (brother). (Back): Coach Chad Cofield, and Head Coach Seth Sitzman.

Last Friday morning at Vidalia Heritage Academy two standout student athletes signed letters of intent for scholarships to play baseball in college. Ledger Curl is headed to Gordan State College and Dalton Price signed with Daytona State College.

Price said, "It has been a cool experience. I was glad I got to go there and show them what I had.I really liked the coaches and the atmosphere. I want to thank Coach Sitzman for pushing me along with my teammates.

"This is a great opportunity for Dalton. We let him decide on where he wanted to go to college Daytona State offers several programs that other schools don't like welding. He loved the school, coaches and felt like it was the right fit for him..We are very proud of him." Kristy Price said.

"I have coached Dalton for two years and he has been a big arm for us. He has an aggressive delivery and has been our third game pitcher and our closer. He is going to be successful at Daytona State." Coach Sitzman stated.

"I really loved the coach at Gordon State and he helped me with the process. It is pretty close to home and I can come back when I want to. I want to thank the Lord, my dad who has helped me so much over the years and Coach Sitzman for pushing me and of course my teammates." Curl said.

"He has really worked hard to get to this point and took it upon himself to hit the weight room and he busted his butt to sharpen his skills. Coach Sitzman has made a big impact on him over the years. He had a couple of other offers, but he really liked the coach and it felt right for him. He is living out his dream and we are proud of him" Larry Curl said.

Coach Sitzman,"I have had the pleasure of coaching Ledger since he was in the fifth grade. He is just the type of kid you want on your team. He has a lot of power in his bat and he is the type of kid you want at the plate in the bottom of the seventh when you really need a big hit. He has been a great leader for us. He will be successful and jump right in at Gordon State."
