Last week TCHS Track and Field teams competed in their last home meet of the season.
Teams Participating in the meet included; cross town rivals Vidalia, Wheeler County High School and Portal High School from Bulloch County. The final meet followed a bit different format than your usual high school meet.
Field events were the same and TCHS boys and girls competed well and finished well in every field event with several athletes finishing first in their events including Shay Stringer in Girls DIscus and Caden Marsh in boys shot put. Brock Nobles also earned first place with a new personal record of 159 feet in the boys discus throw.
Running events followed a relay style format with no individual events being contested accept for the 300 hurdles, where Brandon Stevens, Erick Stevens, and Shania Brown all competed well. The day started with the Distance Medley relay and found TCHS finishing second behind Vidalia. Next was the co-ed 4x100m relay where TCHs earned another 2nd place. We also contested and competed well in the 4×2 and 4×4 coed events. Toombs took home a victory in the much anticipated shuttle hurdle relay. And most importantly TCHS was able to inch out a victory in the Big Boy throwers relay.
