The Vidalia Onion Festival Committee has received news from Austin Snell that he will not be able to perform at the Vidalia Onion Festival on Friday, April 26, due to health reasons. From Austin, “I’ve been battling for over a year a health issue that needs to be addressed medically. Unfortunately, I have to temporarily suspend my performances for the next couple of weeks to have surgery. It’s a major bummer, but I’m hoping for a quick recovery and to see you all again out on the road soon.”

Tim Jones, Entertainment Chairman for the festival, stated, “We worked quickly to find an artist to fill in the gap in the concert and are pleased to announce that Avery Anna will be in the lineup.” Avery Anna, a Warner Music Nashville recording artist, is a vibrant talent with an expressive pen that her fans might say speaks to sad girls – and sad boys. Avery’s career started in an acoustic-friendly, claw-foot bathtub, where she documented herself singing. She has earned recognition for nuanced lyricism well beyond her 20 years, coupled with a dynamic, piano-forward sound. Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube have all named the talented Arizona native an Artist to Watch. Avery’s debut EP Mood Swings, a seven-song introduction that has contributed to her nearly 350 million global streams, features viral hit “Narcissist.” She performed the Gold-certified smash on the 2023 CMT Music Awards, where she was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. In addition to topping SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown, “Narcissist” has earned rotation among today’s biggest pop songs on SiriusXM Hits 1. Avery debuted her all-too-relatable empowerment anthem “Self Love” on NBC’s TODAY. Her recently released, “I Will (When You Do)” with Dylan Marlowe, is out now. Having quickly become an in-demand touring artist, she has opened for Cole Swindell, Jordan Davis, BRELAND, Chase Rice and more, both across the United States and abroad, as well as her own headlining Treat Yourself Nice Tour. Avery also just released, “Two Sides of the Story” last week and this is still just the beginning for the rising star.

We’re excited about the 2024 Vidalia Onion Festival Friday Night Concert, headlined by Georgia's own country sensation and Grand Ole Opry member, Lauren Alaina. Openers also include RVSHVD, another Georgia native, whose soulful melodies and authentic country flair have endeared him to fans across the country.

Tickets for the Friday Night Concert and the Air Show are still available online and at the Vidalia Onion Museum. Early purchase is recommended. For more information on ticket sales, routing information for the airport area, and the full schedule of events, please visit VidaliaOnionFestival.com.  Join us for a weekend of song, dance, and the unmistakable flavor of Vidalia® Onions at the 47th Annual Vidalia Onion Festival.
