An Emanual County jury returned a guilty plea Wednesday against a woman charged with the 2022 felony murder in Twin City.
Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tripp Fitzner said Peggy Milton was convicted of Nichols Hall. Hall died from a single gunshot wound.
Judge Bobby Reeves sentenced Milton to life with parole.
D.A. Fitzner said following the verdict, “I’d like to thank sheriff Brewer and the Emanuel County sheriff’s Office for all of their work in the investigation of this case. Thank you to Assistant district Attorney Aaron Palmer for his hard work in both preparing for and trying this case. While nothing our court system can do will bring Nick back, we hope this brings closure to his family.”
