3 26 24 Upshaw

The Toombs County Bulldogs (11-5, 5-1 Region) continued their dominance over the Tattnall County Warriors (8-9, 0-6 Region ) with another shutout victory, this time by a score of 11-0 on Thursday. Cameron Ledford led the offensive charge with a stellar performance at the plate, driving in four runs on three hits. Brantley Upshaw was impressive on the mound for the Bulldogs. He tossed a perfect game, flawlessly retiring all 15 batters he faced. Upshaw struck out seven Warriors and did not allow a single hit or walk, showcasing his dominance.

The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard. In the bottom of the first inning, a double by Jackson Jenkins, followed by a double by Ledford and a hit-by-pitch for Ryder Sears, plated three runs to take an early lead. Cameron Ledford continued his hot streak in the second inning. He ripped a triple, scoring two runs, extending the Bulldogs’ lead further.

The scoring continued in the bottom of the third inning with Brantley Upshaw and Ledford each delivering RBI singles, pushing the score to 8-0 in favor of Toombs County.

The Toombs County offense put on a strong showing, collecting 11 hits in the game. Upshaw and Ledford led the way with three hits each, while Ledford’s four RBIs paced the team’s offense. Jenkins also chipped in with two hits. The Bulldogs displayed patience at the plate, drawing six walks, with Trayvone Harris leading the team with three walks.

With this convincing victory, the Toombs County Bulldogs continue to roll and currently sit atop the region with a 5-1 record. Next week, they will face a tough Appling County team. Currently, the games are slated for Tuesday (home) at 5:45pm, Thursday (Baxley) at 6:00pm, and Friday (home) at 5:45pm.
