Jackson Berry pitched a complete-game shutout, and Lawson Lowe hit his second home run in as many days as the Vidalia Indians, powered by Tattnall Co., 7-0 to sweep the season series against the Battle Creek Warriors.

Berry was in command all night, allowing just four hits and striking out seven on a 74-pitch complete game. Lowes’s two-run homer in the first inning put the Indians up 2-0, and Vidalia never looked back.

Berry has now thrown 19 scoreless innings in a row, with the last recorded run against the junior coming in the 2nd inning of the South Effingham game on March 1st.

The Indians had 12 hits on the night, with seven different players having at least one hit. Carson Ricks went 3-4 on the night to lead the Indians, with Lowe, Andrew Norfleet, and Brayden McCaw each having two hits.

With the win, Vidalia moves to 8-8 on the season and 3-0 in Region 3AA play.

The Indians will be back in action Tuesday as Appling County comes to town for game one of a three-game set. The first pitch from Greg James Field is set for 5:45.
