VHS Indians Boys Basketball
Friday, 04 January 2013
January 4--The VHS Boys Basketball Team is off to a good start with a 11-1 record. The Indians are coming off a win over Dublin last Saturday night, at the BPC Holiday Classic.
" We've been just kind of working on us primarily the first part of the week, we actually took a day off, and took the kids to Macon, and watched the Mercer-Stetson game. There is a fine line between a lot of rest, and a lot of reps, we have been getting after it, and balancing that time pretty well. Our kids are  working hard, and we are just plugging away right now." Coach Tommy Dalley said.
The Indians play three straight region games coming up starting with Jeff Davis Friday night at home.
" Jeff Davis is a very athletic team, with two really good post players, we are going to have to do a good job keeping them off of the glass, and try to  contain those two. Saturday we go on the road to Long Co, who we played for the region championship last year, they have four starters coming back, a very good, athletic team. Tuesday night Bacon Co rolls in here, who are blessed with a lot of athletes, and really run the floor well. We have three region games that we really have to come in and grind it out, and try and find a way to win." Dalley stated.
