Treutlen Sweeps and Vidalia Splits at BPC Holiday Classic

December 27--ImageThe Treutlen Vikings Boys and Girls Basketball Teams won both of their games on Thursday, at the BPC 2012 Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament. The Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Raiders of Bacon Co to start the three day event, 52-31. The Treutlen Boys defeated the Bacon Co Boys 63-49.

Treutlen gets back into action first thing Friday morning, with two games against Jeff Davis. The girls game starts at 10:00am, with the boys at 11:30am.

Meanwhile in the last two games of the night the Vidalia Indians split a pair of games with Tattnall County. In the girls game the Lady Battle Creek Warriors used a combination of hot shooting and teanacious defense to beat the Lady Indians, 66-57. In the nightcap, the Indians trailed 6-0 to begin the game, but then got on track and never looked back in a 87-49 win. Jordan Black led the way with 20 points, followed by Tra Hardy with 18, Raekwon Reed with 15 and Malik Mincey added 12. With the win the Indians move to 10-0 on the year, while the Lady Indians fall to 6-4

Vidalia will play two games against Dodge Co.  on Friday with the girls getting underway at 4:00pm, and the boys following at 5:30pm

The Montgomery Co Eagles will begin their play in the tournament with two games against Telfair Co. The girls game starts at 7:00pm, and the boys play at 8:30pm.
