VHS Indians Named To All Star Teams
Thursday, 20 December 2012

December 20-- Members of the VHS Indians Football Team have been selected to play in a couple of the state's all-star games. Head coach Lee Chomskis has also been selected to coach in the state's oldest all-star game, the GACA  North-South All-Star Game, in Columbus on December 29. Nic McBride will be playing in that game on the South's Team roster.

" Nic McBride has been selected to play in that football game, and that is quite a honor, as you know Nic was named defensive player of the year in our region. I think that was a wise choice on their behalf, and a honor for Nic and his family." Coach Lee Chomskis said

" I am very fortunate and blessed to be a part of that game, I will be coaching the safetys. I am looking forward to that, it will be a grand opportunity for me and my family." Chomskis stated.

" We also have three young men that have been chosen for the Ga Sports Alliance's East-West All-Star Game this Saturday December 22nd in Macon. Juan Foster, Javar Daniels, and Raheem Turner will all be playing for the East Team. Cole Johnson was selected, but he wants to stay with the basketball team, and I can understand him wanting to remain with the team." Chomskis said.

" We are excited that we have some kids that are going to extend their careers a little bit longer, and also get some college coaches to come and see them play, maybe open some doors. We are glad to see these kids getting honored." Coach Chomskis said.
