VHS Boys And Girls Both Pick Up Wins

December 14--The VHS Indians Boys and Girls Basketball Teams both picked up wins at home on Friday night. The Lady Indians won their fifth game of the year in a close one with St. Vincents, 47-45. In the boys game, the Indians remained undefeated on the season, getting their sixth win, 65-41 over Benedictine. Ramel Thompkins and Jordan Black led the way in scoring, both with 14 points.

In other games on Friday night, the Toombs Co Bulldogs picked up two wins over the Metter Tigers, in Lyons. The Lady Bulldogs winning by twenty points, 49-29. The boys winning by twelve points, 75-63.

The Treutlen Vikings traveled over to East Laurens and split a pair of games, the Lady Vikings winning by three, 59-56. The Falcons winning the nightcap in the boys game, 60-54.

The Montgomery Co Eagles split a pair with Jenkins Co, the girls losing by five points, 49-44. The boys winning their game, 84-80.

The Coaches Vs. Cancer Tournament hosted by the RTCA Crusaders, going on Friday and Saturday, in Lyons. The RTCA Boys got a three point win over Edmund Burke, 50-47. Herron Gardner led the Crusaders in scoring with 18 points.
