Vidalia Sweeps Pair at Atkinson

Dec 11---The Vidalia basketball teams traveled to Pearson on Tuesday night and came away with a pair of wins over Atkinson County, with the Lady Indians winning 57-44 and the Indians taking the night cap 70-51. In the girls game the Lady Indians got 23 points from Chassidy Byrd enroute to their 4th win of the year. Meanwhile despite trailing 31-30 at the half, Tommy Dalley's Indians won their 5th game of the year, while placing four Inidans in double figures. Tra Hardy led the way with 16, with Jordan Black, Cole Johnson and Malik Mincey all scoring 14 points each. Next up for Vidalia, is a doubleheader Friday night at Ralph Parsons Gym. The girls will face St Vincents at 6:00 PM, followed by the boys contest with Benedictine at 7:30.

In other action Tuesday night, Toombs County lost a pair to Jeff Davis, with the girls losing by four 37-33 and the boys losing 66-54. Meanwhile in Soperton the Treutlen Vikings and Lady Vikings took a pair from Portal with the girls wining 48-27 and the boys completing the sweep 58-43.

In GISA action on Tuesday the RTCA boys fell to to Pinewood 51-36.
