VHS Boys Basketball Team Win At Metter
Monday, 10 December 2012
December 10--The VHS Boys Basketball Team picked up a win on the road in Metter Friday night, beating the Tigers 61-26.

" I thought for the most part we played pretty well defensively, we had our struggles on the offensive end, we took the shots that we wanted, but we just couldn't seem to get the ball in the hole. The kids responded well, and we had a great second half, and that is kind of when we opened it up in the third and fourth quarters." Coach Tommy Dalley said.

" We had a lot of kids that contributed, I think Cole Johnson led our team in scoring with twelve points, and he had a big night rebounding the ball, but the way that we play, we have so many kids that play hard and we had several kids with six, eight and nine  points." Dalley said.

" We have a big region opener at Atkinson Co on Tuesday night, a very balanced basketball team, they are extremely quickand athletic, they have a little guard that averages about twenty-five points per game, so we are going to have to do a good job in trying to containing him." Dalley stated.

" Friday we host Benedictine, a crossover game in the region and then Saturday we go to Savannah to play Richmond Hill,  a team up in classification. I think our team is ready for the big week coming up and are looking forward to playing three games this week." Dalley said

The VHS Lady Indians were also victorious on Friday night winning their game, 70-39.
