Toombs Co Bulldogs Boys Basketball
Thursday, 06 December 2012
December 6--The season is underway for the Toombs Co Boys Basketball Team. The Bulldogs are 1-2 so far this year, and lost a heartbreaker Tuesday night at home to Bacon Co, 66-65.

" The game was kind of " helter skelter " for a little bit, a bad paced game, back and fourth for a little while, they had an eight point lead, and we came back with 25 seconds left it got away from us and they hit a shot at the buzzer and beat us. Bacon Co is a real scrappy bunch and came out and played us all night tooth and nail, but when you miss nineteen free throws, you don't give yourself a chance to win the ballgame Coach Keary Brownlee said.

" If you concentrate, and you hit half your free throws, you put yourself in position to win. Hopefully, we can get back and get on track at practice, and fix some things, and work on free throws." Brownlee said.

The Bulldogs play again Friday night on the road at McIntosh Co Academy.

" McIntosh they are always a tough out, they have two big kids that play well together. I want us to come out and play with the effort like we did Tuesday night, if we do, we have a chance to win." Brownlee stated.
