November 29--The RTCA Crusaders Boys Basketball Team will have to start their season a little late. The Crusaders football team is playing for the GISA Class A State Championship Friday night. Most of the players on the basketball team are still playing for the football team. " I think winning breads winning, the success that we are having on the football field is going to carry over to the basketball arena. Playing in a state title game is good at any level, I think it is going to be good for our guys to compete at that level, and bring that competitive spirit over to the court, and that is a good thing." Coach Tim Slater said. "I don't have a senior on the roster this year, we have a very competitive team, a very good team as far as leadership and character, and if you have those two things, the x's and o's will take care of themselves. This year we are going to play fast, a very fast paced up and down game." Coach Slater stated. " We are still looking for who we are and our identity. I think we are following up a very strong summer campaign, where we went 10-2 at camp. The only teams we lost to were the back to back Class AA state champions and the projected Class AAA champions. I think that will carry over into the season this year." Slater stated. The Crusaders first game is December 7th at home against Trinity Academy of Dublin.
