Metter Pro Golfer Qualifies For Club Pro National Championship
Thursday, 08 November 2012
November 8--Metter pro golfer Gregg Wolff qualified for the Club Pro National Championship to be played in Oregon next June. Gregg had rounds of 73-68 at The Standard Club in Duluth, Ga, and tied for sixth place qualifying him for the event.

" It's been very busy at Willow Lakes this year, so I have not played very much. This is the only Ga PGA event I have played in this year." Wolff said.

The 36 hole tournament had to be played all on the same day, because of bad weather. It was almost dark by the time the day had ended with Wolff qualifying for the event.

" I had a 30-35ft putt to birdie the hole. With the darkness, I could barely see the outline of the hole. It went up the hill, broke to the right and into the hole for the birdie." Wollf said.

" This is my eleventh time competing in the tournament, I will be turning 60 in January, and I will be one of the oldest players in the field." The best thing about it is, if I finish in the top 25, I will get to play in a major championship a few weeks later, the PGA Championship." Wolff stated.

The 46th Annual PGA Club Pro National Championship will be played at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon on June 23-26 2013.
