The Bulldogs dominated the game early, controlling the tempo with hard running by sophmore running back Jamar Smith. Smith scored both touchdowns for the Bulldogs in the first half, with TD runs of 2 and 65 yards.

Toombs Co QB Ben Brantley threw two interceptions in the first half, but the Cadets could not take advantage and failed to score any points.

The Bulldogs defense held the Cadets offense in check the first half of the game and led 14-0 at the half.

In the second half the Bulldogs continued to run the ball effectively and kept the Cadet offense off the field by controlling the clock in the third quarter.

With 2:45 left in the game, the Cadets took the ball down the field, and scored on a 2 yard run. The extra point was blocked. Toombs led 14-6.

The Bulldogs were forced to punt and the Cadets scored quickly on a 25 yard pass with 1:02 left in the game. The try for two points was no good because of a great defensive play by Mobley. The Bulldogs took over and ran the clock out after a penalty on the kickoff by the Cadets.

Toombs Co goes to 6-2 overall, and 5-2 in the region to keep their play off hopes alive.

Next week the Toombs Co  Bulldogs play at Vidalia.
