Lady Indians Eliminated in Columbus
Friday, 26 October 2012

Oct 26th---Sommer Wiggs hit a 2-run homerun in the top of the 1st inning against Bremen and the Lady Indians added another run in the top of the 2nd to make it 3-0, but it wasn't enough as the Blue Devils scored 8 unanswered runs to knock off the Lady Indians 8-3, Friday in Columbus.

Bremen’s big inning came in the bottom of the 4th when they scored 5 runs to take a 5-3 lead and would then add 3 more runs in the 5th to seal the deal.

The loss eliminated the Lady Indians from the GHSA State Championships while Bremen moves on to the quarterfinals in the loser's bracket. The Lady Indians finished the year with a 28-10 record but will have a strong core returning for the 2013 season as they say goodbye to only three seniors from this year’s squad including Allison Edenfield, Kalyn Merritt and Chassidy Byrd.
