City Hall Groundbreaking in Lyons

January 9--  Officials gathered at the corner of North Lanier Street and Highway 292 in Lyons Friday morning to break ground for the new city hall.  (L-R) are Eddie Potts of Lavender Construction, city councilmen Willis NeSmith and Tracy Johnson, Senator Tommie Williams, Mayor John Moore, Representative Greg Morris, councilman Ben Mitchell, city manager Rick Hartley and Berta Carter.


This is the architect's rendering of what the new Lyons City Hall will look like when completed.  John Lavender Construction of Statesboro has been awarded a $949,000 contract and estimates completion by late summer.
