Indians Continue to Roll

October 19--  The Vidalia Indians had a happy Homecoming Friday night at Buck Cravey Field.  Alecia McCloud is the 2012 Vidalia High School Homecoming Queen.

ImageDJ Mincey threw for four touchdowns, two to Jordan Black, and Tra Hardy ran for two more TD's as the Vidalia Indians rolled over Bryan County 42-7 Friday night at Buck Cravey Field.

The Indians scored on their first six possessions of the game while racking up 456 total yards to move to 7-0 on the year and 6-0 in Region 2AA.

The Indians scored on their first drive of the night when Mincey connected on a 16 yard pass to Black with 9:00 to go in the 1st quarter. Then just 3:47 later that combination hooked up again on a 4th and 20 to make it 14-0.

Tra Hardy got the next Indian score on a 5 yard run to make it 21-0 with 10:09 to go in the half. Mincey hooked up twice more before the half ended; the first was an 11 yard strike to Will Chomskis to make it 28-0 with 39 seconds left in the half. With just 33 seconds later Mincey hit Juan Foster on a 43 yard catch and run to make it 35-0 at the half. 

The Indians completed their scoring with 9:54 left in the game, when Hardy got his 2nd score on a 5 yard run capping a 69 yard drive.. Bryan County's only score came on an 80 yard fumble recovery and return with 2:36 to go in the game to make it 42-7.

Mincey finished the night 7 for 9 for 131 yards and 4 TD's and added another 71 yards rushing on 8 carries. Juan Foster had another good night rushing for 140 yards on 14 carries and 44 yards receiving. Meanwhile, Will Chomskis led all receivers with 50 yards, while Jordan Black ended the night with 44 yards. 

The Vidalia defense held Bryan Co. scoreless on the night allowing the Redskins just 41 total yards on the night.

Up next for the Indians is a trip to Alma Friday night, where they will face the Red Raiders of Bacon Co. Kick-off is set for 7:30 and you can hear all the action on Your Favorite 98Q.
