Indians Cruise by Tigers

Sept 28---Juan Foster had 189 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown and Tra Hardy added 81 yards on just 3 try's and two scores as the Vidalia Indians remained undefeated as they defeated Metter 28-7 Friday night on the Reservation.

Foster scored on a 28 yard run capping a 5 play 47 yard drive on the Indians first possession to make it 7-0 and then set up the Indians second score with a 56 yard run. Tra Hardy would cap off that drive with a 20 yard score to make it 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter. Then with 7:08 left to go in the half Hardy would get his second score on a 46 yard run to cap off a 4 play 71 yard drive to make it 21-0 at the half. 

The Indians would get their 4th and final score of the night on their first possession of the second half, when they went 65 yards in 8 plays and scored on a Rashaad Thompkins 1 yard run to make it 28-0. 

The Indian defense welcomed back Nic McBride who played in his first game since the first game of the year and McBride showed no signs of rust in his game as he finished with 13 individual tackles and 3 interceptions. Cole Johnson also had a big night on the defensive side of the ball with 8 tackles and 5 hurries.

Metter's lone score came late in the game on a 51 yard pass and catch from Thomas Cliett to Justin Parish to make the final 28-7

With the win the Indians move to 5-0 on the year and into first place in Region 2AA play with a 4-0 region record. Up next for the Indians is a road trip to Pearson on Friday night where they will take on the Atkinson Co. Rebels, with kick-off set for 7:30 pm.
