Bulldogs Shutout Yellow Jackets

September 28--The Toombs Co Bulldogs defeated the Jeff Davis Co Yellow Jackets 41-0, in Hazlehurst Friday night. The Bulldogs improve to 4-1 on the year, and 3-1 in the region. The Bulldogs were led by Jamar Smith with three rushing touchdowns with runs of 44, 11, and 39 yards. Smith ran hard all night long over the Jackets' defense.
Chris Mobley started the Bulldogs off with an interception in the 1st quarter on the Jackets 44 yard line. Jamar Smith ran it in on offense on the next play. Extra point was good. Bulldogs les 7-0 early. He scored another TD later with 1:47 left in 1st quarter from the 11. Extra point was good to give the Dogs a 14-0 lead.
Jamar Smith scored again with 11:44 to go in the 2nd quarter on a 39 yard run. Extra point was good, Bulldogs 21-0. Mark Terrell intercepted a pass with 10:09 left in the half to set up a 24 yard run for a TD by Anthony Britt with 8:18 left in the half , the extra point was good for a 28-0 Bulldog lead at the half.
In the 3rd quarter the Bulldogs scored on a 2 yard run from Mark Terrell with 7:58 to go, extra point was good. Bulldogs 35, Yellow Jackets 0.
The Bulldogs scored again on a QB sneek by Ben Brantley with 8:46 remaining in the quarter. Extra point was no good.
