Veterinarians in our area continue to go above and beyond to help people and their pets.  Here's the latest example

ImageDr. Charles Faulk of Four Rivers Veterinary Center with Gretchen Williams and her dog, honey. In November 2011, Gretchen was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. She has since undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy and surgery and is currently undergoing radiation treatments in her battle against this disease. As a testament to her character and strength of will, Gretchen dedicates her free time to designing and gifting hair bows and coloring books to the young cancer patients at the Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah. Thanks to the efforts and generosity of friend Melissa Padgett, Four Rivers Veterinary Center was able to offer Gretchen a reduced cost-spay and veterinary care for Honey. Gretchen's positive attitude and dedication to helping others - both people and animals - have been and continue to be an inspiration to us all!

For more information on Gretchen and how you can help in her battle against breast cancer, please visit her Give Forward page at www.giveforward.com/affectionforgretchen.
