Class AA

1. (1) Calhoun (3-0)

Last week: Beat Carrollton 46-35. WR Josh Barnes caught 18 passes for 204 yards. QB Taylor Lamb was 38-of-55 passing for 465 yards and four touchdowns. He also scored two touchdowns. Calhoun became the first team in state history to win three consecutive games while allowing 35 or more points. Next: Friday at Dade County (0-3)

2. (2) Brooks County (3-0)

Last week: Off. Next: Friday at Mitchell County (1-2)

3. (4) Cook (3-0)

Last week: Beat Dougherty 42-14. K.J. Edwards scored five touchdowns, all runs inside the Dougherty 5-yard line, and Jeremy Walden scored on a 73-yard run. Next: Sept. 28 vs. Thomasville (1-3)

4. (5) Lovett (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Marist 24-16. Willie Chandler was 18-of-26 passing for 279 yards and two touchdowns. Three passes went to Grant Haley for 105 yards. Craig Rollins had six catches for 94 yards. Alex Port had two tackles for losses. Lovett was scoreless in the second half after leading 16-7. Next: Friday at St. Pius (2-1)

5. (7) Vidalia (3-0)

Last week: Beat Long County 40-16. Juan Foster rushed for 182 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Vidalia finished with 494 yards in total offense. QB D.J. Mincey had 132 yards passing, 73 rushing. Vidalia is ranked in the top five for the first time since Sept. 25, 2005. Next: Friday vs. Benedictine (3-0)

6. (9) Washington-Wilkes (3-0)

Last week: Beat Warren County 46-0. The Tigers are 3-0 for the first time since 2000, when they reached the Class AA final. Next: Friday vs. Riverside Military (0-2)

7. (3) Fitzgerald (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Monroe 35-28 in overtime. QB Romarius Gaulden was stopped less than a yard short of a first down on fourth-and-4 on the final play of overtime. Gaulden had scored on a 4-yard run with 1:49 left to force overtime. Next: Friday vs. Charlton County (2-1)

8. (8) Early County (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Bainbridge 14-12. Early County failed on a two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds. Jacori Taylor rushed for 137 yards on 20 carries and was 10-of-20 for 179 yards and a touchdown passing. He scored on a 16-yard run late and threw a 79-yard TD pass to Martavius Allen in the first quarter. Next: Friday at Calhoun County (1-2)

9. (10) Lamar County (2-0-1)

Last week: Beat Pike County 44-7. Lawrence Austin scored three touchdowns, the first on an 81-yard pass from Quay Searcy. Another was a 47-yard run. Lamar led 44-7 in the third quarter. Next: Sept. 28 at Taylor County (2-1)

10. (NR) Bowdon (3-0)

Last week: Beat Kendrick 34-14. Bowdon trailed at halftime 8-6. Junior HB Jarod McKey scored four touchdowns. Next: Friday at Chattahoochee County (2-1)
