Toombs Co Lady Dogs Softball
Tuesday, 11 September 2012
September 11--The Toombs Co Lady Dogs Softball Team has been playing better softball a month into the season. Coach Elaine Allen is pleased with the girls play.
" Last week we kind of made up some games, we went down to Bacon Co and played a good game, but lost 3-2 in extra innings, the girls played really well. Went over to East Laurens on Monday and got our bats going and beat them 13-6, so the girls are working hard, looking good and taking extra batting practice and getting ready for our next region game." Allen said.
The Lady Dogs play at rival, the VHS Lady Indians on Tuesday with a double-header starting at 5:30pm.
Coach Allen says, " I think you are going to see two good games, our girls are ready, we have been working hard and working on fundamentals, cleaning up on some things we need to be doing correctly, getting our bats going. We are looking forward to playing, it is always a good game between Toombs and Vidalia, you can look for that."
" We have been working hard, Coach Hayes and I are encouraging the girls to do their best, and just play Lady Dogs softball." Allen stated.
