September 5--The RTCA Lady Crusaders Softball team are a month into the season and Coach Keith Barr is pleased with the teams performance so far this year.

Barr said, "We are doing pretty good, we started out 3-4 with some really good wins over Thomas Jefferson, a good Briarwood team, and Edmund Burke. Then our defense let us down, and lost a real close games to Trinity and Pinewood by a score of 9-7 both games. Very competitive, maybe a few errors we need to plug up, and after we do that, we will be competitive with anybody in our region."

" This Thursday we go down to Hinesville and play First Presbyterian, a region game, and then Pinewood comes to Lyons on Saturday, that is not a region game, but anytime you play them it is a big game and we are looking forward to both those opportunities." Barr said.

" We have been pretty consistent hitting the ball, but it has been our defense that has been our downfall this year." Barr stated.
