Toombs Co. Bulldogs Win Big

September 1-- The Toombs Co. Bulldogs win big in the season opener against the Montgomery Co. Eagles on Friday night in Mt. Vernon. The Bulldogs dominated the game from the start and scored seven touchdowns for a 47-0 victory. The first quarter had five touchdowns scored by the Bulldogs, two by Gary Terrell on runs of 22 and 8 yards.  Mark Terrell had a 54 yard rushing TD, Tomad Hampton had two TD's, one on a fumble recovery of 12 yards on defense, and another on an offensive catch of 24 yards. The second quarter the Bulldogs scored two more touchdowns by Demitrius Taylor with running plays of 5 yards each. The Bulldogs did miss two extra points after scores during the half, and went for 2 points one time which was unsucessful. The score was 47-0 at the half, with no scoring in the 2nd half of the game, which was played mostly by the backup players for the Bulldogs.

Next week Toombs Co. travels to Bryan Co., and the Montgomery Co. Eagles will also be on the road against Southeast Bulloch.
