Vidalia Wins in OT
Saturday, 01 September 2012

Aug 31---The Vidalia Indians played hard nosed defense and scored the only points in overtime to defeat the West Laurens Raiders 21-14 on Friday night.

The Indians fought back twice from 7 point deficits to take the game into overtime where they got a 3 yard score from Tra Hardy and a PAT from Dakota Paradice and then the defense held the Raiders on four straight plays to secure the win.

Vidalia QB DJ Mincey hooked up with WR Jordan Black on scores of 34 and 44 yards for the Indians scores in regulation, while the defense kept the Raider offense out of the end zone five times after West Laurens had penetrated the red-zone.

Up next for the Inidains is the McIntosh County Academy Bucaneers, when they come to the Reservation for the 2012 Region 2AA opener. Game time is 7:30 from Buck Cravey Field.
