Friday, 17 August 2012
August 17--The Vidalia High School Competition Cheerleaders are practicing hard and preparing for the upcoming season. The squad is coached by Ann Michele Toole and Julie Spivey.

Coach Toole says, " We are very excited about our new season this year, we graduated quite a few seniors last year, we have a strong group of freshmen that came in and have jelled really well with the rest of the girls. We have been impressed with their willingness to work hard and teamwork, really great chemistry so far."

" The girls went to camp in July, and practiced 3 or 4 days a week during the summer, we are back in school now and practicing everyday. We have also implemmented a conditioning class at school that the team is required to take to help make the team hold out better and longer during the routine." Coach Toole said.

" With the new region alligment I think the region will be a pretty strong one, we look for Toombs Co., Jeff Davis, Tattnall or any of the other schools, they have been quality teams  in the past and I expect them to give us good competition each week." Coach Toole stated.

Coach Toole says, " Most of our girls also cheer for the football team on Friday nights so, they are pretty commited kids to give their time to support our school."

The VHS Competition Cheerleaders first meet is in Dublin on September 15th.
