Treutlen Vikings Football Ready For New Year
Friday, 10 August 2012
August 10--The Treutlen Vikings Football Team is preparing for the new season. Head Coach Briit Ingle is very optimistic about his team this year with some returning players on the team and also a good turnout.
" We have over 50 young men out this year, that's big numbers for us." " We have a good young group with some experience, we played a lot of kids last year and only lost one senior on each side of the ball." Ingle said.
" If we can stay healthy hopefully we can compete with some of the big boys early on and then see what we can do down the stretch." Ingle stated.
Coach Ingle says, " We have been working really hard, workouts have been going good back in the weight room and trying to get into the swing of things."
" There is a lot of excitement in the communuty, everyone is excited about the new school and the returning players we have coming back on the team, a new attitude and hopefully we can transfer that over to the football field." Inge said.
The Vikings play a scrimmage game with Telfair Co. on August 24th and, start the regular season against Claxton on September 7th.
