TCHS Football Ready For New Season

August 1--The Toombs Co. High School Bulldogs Football Team is getting for the start of the new season. The team can put on the pads starting today.

Head Coach Shane Williamson says, " I am excited about this upcoming season, we feel like we have a good core of seniors and returning players but, we are still going to be young. We have guys that are leading that want to win."

" I know myself as a head coach, I have a different attitude this year and trying to go out and be very positive and demanding." Williamson said. " Do the things that champions do, and that's practice hard everyday." Williamson stated.

" I have been real pleased with everybody being here and coming out with the right attitude.We have worked hard on trying to get our guys in shape implementing agility and conditioning drills with our football practice." Williamson stated.

Coach Williamson went on to say, " We will be working in the mornings from 8 until 11 following the new Ga. High School Associations' guidelines with the heat restrictions." "We are looking forward to the pre-season and finding the guys that are going to give everything they have for Toombs Co. and developing these young men to be better men when they graduate and leave our program." Williamson said.

The Bulldogs scrimmage Dodge Co. August 17th at home and start the season with Montgomery Co. August 31st in Mt. Vernon.
