July 27--The Vidalia High School Indian Football Team has started practicing for the upcoming season. There are new restrictions for all teams on when and how long a team can practice, because of the heat and humidity this time of year.

Coach Lee Chomskis says, " The restictions in the first week are that we can practice once a day and for two hours a day, and you have to watch the wet bulb readings and monitor the temperature. " "We will be careful and wise as we have been in the past." Chomskis said.

" I am excited about our kids, the attitude and the effort and the opportunity a new season brings , we have a tough region with new teams that we are not that familiar with, but there are some fine football teams in the region this year."Chomskis stated.

Chomskis went on to say, " We have a very short period of time to get ready to go play Lincoln County in a scrimmage and that should be a unique experience for us, it's a little bitty town and stadium but, those guys know how to play football."

" Then we have to go over and play a very large school in West Laurens to open the season so , we have our work cut out for us but, we are excited about it and we are looking forward to the challenge." Chomskis said.
