July 11--Local Recreation Teams from the area are playing in state tournaments this week in girls softball and boys baseball action. Eight teams from Vidalia, two from Lyons and one from Soperton will be vying for State Championships across the state. We will be updating the scores as they become available.

Vidalia Junior Boys in Bainbridge defeated Ware Co. 3-1.Defeated Villa Rica 6-1 and will play Cairo Thursday@ 12pm.

Vidalia Midget Boys in Calhoun defeated Washington Co. 22-0.

Soperton Junior Boys beat Morgan Co. 11-0 yesterday in Screven Co. Lost to Appling 11-2. Will play Jeff Davis @10am Thursday.

Lyons Junior Boys defeated Union City 7-2 in Bainbridge and will play @12noon Thursday.

Vidalia Junior Girls Won by forfeit in Bainbridge and will play Thursday @4pm.

Lyons Junior Girls defeated Lee Co. 4-3 in Bainbridge and will play@12pm Thursday.

Vidalia Mite Girls defeated Hogansville 12-0 in Tifton and will play Wayne Co. today @4pm.

Vidalia Midget Girls won in Dublin Defeated Coffee Co. 5-1.

Vidalia Junior Boys defeated Cairo 6-5 in extra innings.

Soperton Junior Boys lost to Jeff Davis 7-2.

Vidalia Mite Boys defeated Wayne Co. 14-6 in Waycross. Won game 2 today 1-0. Will play Friday @1:30pm. In Finals Saturday.

Lyons Junior Boys Lost to Cedartown 8-4. Lost to Liberty Co. 10-2.

Lyons Junior Girls Defeated Clayton 9-8. Play Wayne Co. Friday @12pm.

Vidalia Junior Girls Lost to Wayne Co. 4-2. Will Play Lee Co. Friday @ 10am.

Vidalia Flea Boys Defeated Colquitt Gold 10-7. Summerville 12-4. Washington Co. 10-2. Will Play For State Championship Saturday @ 11:30am.

Vidalia Mite Girls 3rd in State.

Vidalia Midget Boys game was rained out and they will resume play Tuesday @ 2pm in Waycross against Colquitt Co.
