TCHS Jalisha Knight ends track career with 2 more STATE championship titles & the State record

At the Girl's State finals in long jump Jalisha jumped 15' 11.5" and finished 11th in the state. Her PR for long jump this year was set at the AA Sections East in Lamar, a jump of 18' 5.5".

In the 100M hurdles, Jalisha qualified with the best time of 14.33. When she completed her final Senior race, she ran 14.16, she is the AA STATE CHAMPION, and set a new AA STATE RECORD!!!!

 "Juicy" qualified in the 300M hurdles with the best time of 44.95, and for the last time in her career at TCHS she became the AA STATE CHAMPION again running 44.11 and setting another PR!

 Jalisha finishes her career with four state titles. Two this year in the 100M hurdles and 300M hurdles. One as a sophomore in the 300M hurdles and one as a junior in the 100 meter hurdles. In her first state meet, as a freshman, she placed fourth in the 100M hurdles.

Samantha Houston our freshman qualifier ran her 3200M run in 13:26.36 a PR for her finishing 15th in the state, and in the 1600M ran a 6:15.44 placing 16th in the state (She set her PR at AA Sections East in Lamar running 5:57.23).
