The Toombs County Bulldogs started Spring practice with more than 80 players. Coach Shane Williamson says he very glad to have that many kids out because it allows him to 2 platoon and see more of what his younger players can do. As with all coaches, the weather was on the mind of the head coach, as he made sure his players stayed hydrated.

The Vidalia Indians started their first day in full pads as 91 players took the field the first day. Coach Lee Chomskis says he was excited to get back on the field. Of course, he didn't get everything done he wanted to get done on the first day. It was, basically, a fundamentals start. And, Coach Chomskis was also mindful of the heat and the hydration of all his players.
