Easley Wins Second Straight Indian Invitational

The boys from Easley, SC repeated as winners of the Vidalia Indian Invitational. The boys, dressed in green, outscored the field with a 2 day total of 604. Easley Coach Dave Giffin said he was proud of his boys for coming from so far away to defend their crown. Vidalia Coach Denis Watkins expressed his appreciation to Hawks Point and Rocky Creek Golf Club. He also was thankful to all the volunteers that helped to make the tournament a success, including students. 

Coffee County finished second with a 614, and Colquitt Co. finished third with a 622. The young Vidalia team finished in the middle of the pack.

Vaughn Stripling of Colquitt County was low medalist with a 145, after a 2 hole playoff with Cam Andrade of Woodward Academy. Stripling (above) receives his medal from Denis Watkins.
