No More Onion Festival Softball Tournament
Thursday, 29 March 2012

After years of putting on the Onion Festival Softball Tournament, the Vidalia Recreation Department is changing the format. According to Director Tommy Sasser, starting this year, they will make it a Youth Baseball Tournament. Sasser says the interest from the softball teams for a tourament is not there like it used to be. The trend now is for youth tournaments. As many as 16 teams of 12 and under boys are expected to participate in the April 21st event. Teams that are interested should call or come by the Ed Smith Recreation Complex. Entry fee for each team is 200 dollars.
