The Toombs County Bulldogs travelled to Vidalia Tuesday night for a battle with their cross county rival. The game see sawed back and forth with the Indians taking a quick 2-0 lead, but the Bulldogs battled back to take a 3-2 lead. The Indians tied it at 3, and just like that Toombs carried a 4-3 lead in to the bottom of the 7th. The Indians rallied for a run to tie it at 4, and send it into extra innings. But, at the top of the 8th, the lightning began and so did the delay. Then, after 45 minutes, a huge storm with rain, high winds, lightning and even hail came roaring in. Finally, around 9:25 the game was called. A decision as to when it will be continued has not yet been made.
