February 28--  Sports Conversations With Loren Smith features former UGA player and Auburn coach Pat Dye Saturday night at 7:06 p.m. on NewsTalk970 WVOP.

Pat Dye is best known as the Head Football Coach at Auburn from 1981-1992. Prior to that he served as head Coach at East Carolina (1974-1979) and at Wyoming (1980) compiling a career record of 153-62-5 with 9 bowl appearances. 

Dye played college football at Georgia under Coach Wally Butts from 1958-1960.  He then spent 2 season with the Edmonton Eskimoes of the CFL. He was inducted into the  College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 2005.  

Dye's autobiography, In The Arena, written with John Logue, was published in 1992. In September 2006,  he released his first children's book, War Eagle!.
