Back in May we told you that former Toombs County Bulldog Jared Allen had accepted an assistant baseball and football coaching position at Dodge County High School. That has now changed....Allen has been made the Head Baseball coach at the school. Partially because attrition, Allen was approved by the school board in Eastman on Monday night. Jared says he knows it is a meteoric rise in a short time, but, he had already been doing the head coaching duties, anyway. He says he is more than excited about his opportunity, and is already setting up games for the upcoming baseball season. His former coach at Toombs County, Brian Fitzgerald, says he is very proud of what Jared has achieved right out of college. They will be playing each other during the Vidalia Diamond Day tournament.

Ironically, Toombs County's football team plays at Dodge County this Friday night.
