Former UGA QB Speaks to Crusaders
Thursday, 04 August 2011

Thursday morning, former UGA Bulldog quarterback David Greene stopped in Lyons to speak to the Robert Toombs Crusader football team. Greene, said it had not been THAT long since he was in high school, and he remembers the long hot summer practices and the hard work it takes to play. Greene says you are playing just for the fun of playing. ”It’s your guys against their guys”. He says he considers high school football the most pure form. Greene says the most often asked about Georgia memory is “the hobnail boot’ game. But, to him the most memorable game was beating Auburn. The Bulldogs had to beat the Tigers to make it to the SEC Championship game.
