Local Queens Win U.S. Woodlands Crowns

May 18--  KeriLynn Knight of Uvalda, GA and Angel Robertson of Vidalia, GA won the titles of Miss and Teen Miss United States Woodlands Saturday in Dothan, AL.


Keri (left), Miss US Woodlands, will received a $3,000 educational scholarship and Angel, Teen Miss US Woodlands, will received a $500 savings bond and they will both represent the United States now through May 2012 as the new queens. Both girls competed in November 2010 at the Miss GA Woodlands/Timberlands Pageant held in Vidalia, GA and won the state titles which advanced them to the National Pageant.

The U.S. Woodlands Program is a scholarship program for young women and it’s main goal is not only to promote one of the nations top industry’s but to promote self-esteem, self-confidence, self-awareness and the importance of education in today’s young woman.

The GA Woodlands/Timberlands pageant which is a preliminary to the US Woodlands pageant will be held in Vidalia, GA on November 19 at STC. For more information you may visit the web at http://missgawoodlands.tripod.com
