Vidalia Lady Indians Golf Wins First Ever State Title

The Vidalia Lady Indians golf team took the long trip to Madison, Georgia on Monday to take part in the State AA Girls golf Championship. And, for the first time in school history, the girls took the title. The Lady Indians scored a 162, followed in second place by GAC with a 164. Morgan County came in third place with a 167. Freshman Katie Dalton came in third in the state for Low Medalist after a playoff. She had finished the day with a 78.
The Vidalia boys were in Rutledge, Georgia for the Boys AA state tournament. The Indians finished fifth with a 330. Westminster was first with a 305, Morgan County second with 308, Lovett was third at 311 and Hart County was fourth with 311. The boys have finished fifth or better 16 out of the last 17 years.
