$500 Reward in Golf Cart Thefts
Monday, 18 April 2011

April 18--  Six golf carts are missing from Rocky Creek Golf Club in Vidalia and a $500 reward is being offered in the case.

The Vidalia Area Crimestoppers board approved the reward at its meeting Monday.

Police Lieutenant Jimmy Simms says the carts are beige in color and are valued at $6,500 each.  He believes they may have been removed from the premises over a period of months dating back to December, 2010.

Crimestoppers also reminds the community a $6,000 reward is still active for information leading to an arrest in last year's attempted robbery of the Altamaha Bank on Highway 280 west of Vidalia.

The CrimeStoppers number is 1-866-439-6313 and callers may remain anonymous.
