Toombs County Grand Jury Indictments

December 1--  A Toombs County grand jury has returned 31 criminal indictments including ten against individuals for drug offenses and eight for burglary.

Cocaine indictments were returned against Paul Cox, Ricardo Sipp, Kenneth Brownlee, Altonyio Phillips, Calvin Sanford, Winston Salem, Jr., Alexis Johnson and Phillip Berry.  Christal Johnson and Chad Smith were indicted for possession of methamphetamine.

Indicted in connectin with local burglaries are Clinton Walker, Justin Harrell, James Clements, Jr., Charlie Esco, III., Jeffrey Wilson, Susan Dekleine, Glynn McLendon and Catherine McCarty.

Daniel McKay was indicted on six counts of entering an automobile, six counts of theft by receiving stolen property and one count of burglary.

Armed robbery indictments were returned against Ricardo Gaffney and Karron Shuman.

Indicted for theft by taking are Trey Davis, Jr., Brandee Iddins, Cornelius Hardwick, Marquis Hall, Patricia Hall, and Gary Tootle.  Janice Shumake was indicted for theft of services from the Hampton Inn.

Other indictments were returned against L.C. Gillis, Jr., for entering an automobile and criminal trespass, Jeffery Phillips for failure to register as a sex offender, Clarke Akers for arson, Deltinaud Toussaint for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Anthony Mincey and Derrell Ruth for riot in the Toombs County jail.

James Bruce Barnard was indicted on two counts of deposit account fraud.
