November 30--  An incumbent school board member on the Toombs County school board was soundly defeated in Tuesday's runoff election.  Needum Rogers lost to challenger Russ Benton 81 to 10 in District One voting.

In the Montgomery County school board runoff, former school superintendent Jim Paul Poole beat Jrell Craft by 135 votes to win the Uvalda school board seat.  He succeeds longtime school board member Randall Morris who chose not to run for re-election.
