Congressman Barrow for Earmarks
Thursday, 18 November 2010

November 18--  Twelfth District Congressman John Barrow's office reports he will not vote for a moratorium on earmarks.

According to spokesperson Jane Brodsky, "He is opposed to the moratorium on earmarks. The Constitution requires that Congress designate how taxpayer money is spent. If Congress abandons its constitutional responsibility, it will be up to the President or some bureaucrat to decide how to spend taxpayer money, and Congressman Barrow doesn't trust them to get it right."

Brodsky also reports Congressman Barrow voted against Nancy Pelosi to be the House Minority Leader, a post she easily won in this week's Democrat Party caucus vote.
