Monday, 08 November 2010

November 8--  The Bethany Nursing Centers in Vidalia and Millen have entered into a long-term lease with a Georgia-based company which operates nursing homes in three states.

Bethany CEO Becky Livingston confirmed Monday that the Bethany Homes are being leased by United Health Services-Pruitt, a company which operates over 70 nursing homes in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.  The ten-year lease started November 1, several weeks after the firm was engaged to conduct clinical and management reviews at the Bethany Home.

UHS-Pruitt was founded in 1969 in Toccoa, Georgia and now includes a wide array of services to its network of nursing homes including medical, clinical and pharmaceutical.

The Bethany Home was founded in 1923 by the Primitive Baptist denomination which still maintains ownership of the facilities.
