New Leadershhip Class Starts
Thursday, 19 August 2010

August 19--  The fifteen members of the 2010-11 Leadership Toombs-Montgomery Class kicked off  their six-months of training Thursday.

After the orientation, class member Anthony Miller believes the class will help create more volunteers for the community.  "Volunteering is very important, and with people like us in this class, we'll get a lot of volunteers out of it and have a big impact in our community," he said.

Class member Ingrid Varn says she'd like to devote volunteer time to young people, "I feel like that's our future and, as a parent, it's very important for me to know who my children are going to be around and who their peers are going to be."

Leadership Toombs-Montgomery has been operating since the mid-90's under the auspices of the local Chamber of Commerce.
