July 30-- Vidalia Tea Party officials have invited candidates for Georgia's Secretary of State to Vidalia Tuesday night for a debate, but it appears only one will show up. Libertarian David Chastain is expected to be at the Pal Theater at seven p.m. to meet local citizens. Republican Brian Kemp. the current Secretary of State, had planned to come but reported late Friday he can't make due to a meeting he has to attend Tuesday afternoon in Atlanta. The two Democrats involved in the August 10th runoff, Gail Buckner and Georgianna Sinkfield, are not expected to attend. Buckner's campaign is sending a representative, however, organizers have yet to hear from Sinkfield's handlers on her plans. The public is invited to the meeting.
